2025 IILACE Conference
in conjunction with CEEBA
Dear Colleagues,
For more than 25 years, IILACE has been a gathering place for bar association and law society Chief Executives from around the world to compare notes about their work successes and challenges, and to share stories and lessons about their leadership experiences. It is a peer group like no other. For new recruits and veterans alike, IILACE conferences are designed to provide significant value to participants and by extension, to the organizations that they lead. The 2025 Annual Conference will be no exception as we come together to renew old friendships and build new ones.
This year’s conference will be held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the CEOs of the bars of Europe, and it promises to offer a dynamic week of learning, collaboration, and cultural exchange in two vibrant cities - Belfast and Dublin. Hosted by the Law Society of Northern Ireland and the Law Society of Ireland, the program features thought-provoking sessions on leadership, AI, regulatory challenges, rule of law, and wellbeing in the legal profession. With expert panels, keynote speakers, and immersive local experiences, this event will be a memorable and meaningful one for all attendees.
I look forward to seeing you there!

Plan to join us!
Message from the Chairs of 2025 IILACE Conference
Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to Ireland – North and South – for IILACE 2025!
Together with my colleague Mark Garett, I am delighted to extend a warm invitation to you to visit Belfast and Dublin this September for the first part of the IILACE Conference.
For those of you who have not visited before, Belfast is the Capital City of Northern Ireland within the United Kingdom. Once a centre for heavy industries such as ship building and aircraft manufacturing, Belfast is now a transformed and thriving centre of the emerging digital economy. This city is also home to the largest concentration of international law firms in the UK outside of the City of London. We have also become a centre for the creative industries, with much of the celebrated HBO series Game of Thrones having been filmed here.
I very much hope that you will make time in your schedule to visit Belfast this September for the first part of what promises to be an outstanding IILACE conference.
I very much look forward to welcoming you to Belfast.
